AN ADDRESS PRESENTED BY LADY NKOYO EKPO, THE CEO/FOUNDER OF EDET EKPO BASSEY UWE EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION AT THE 4TH TERTIARY SCHOLARSHIP AWARD CEREMONY

PROTOCOL:
I am delighted to welcome everyone to this auspicious occasion, marking a significant milestone in our commitment as a Non-Governmental Organisation, towards educational enrichment in Akwa Ibom State.

Our organisation, Edet Ekpo Bassey Uwe Educational Foundation (EEBUEF), which was founded in 2018 in memory of my late father, has continued to drive live-changing projects and programmes every year to meet its core mandate, which is, creating access to quality education and livelihoods. This was evident during the COVID-19 pandemic in which we distributed palliatives to the people of Uboro Isong Inyang in Udung Uko Local Government Area.

Over the years, our organization has sponsored Inter-House Sports in schools to boost enrolment and as well as bring healthy body to sound mind. We also enlisted Twenty (20) students from Oron, Udung Uko, Mbo, Okobo and Urue Offong/Oruko LGAs into full tertiary scholarship programme. These indigent students, who are all from low-income families with excellent academic records, are currently studying in various tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

My decades of experience as educationist and data analyst in Nigeria and United States of America, has motivated me to devote more time and resources towards the development of my people. Just yesterday, we were at Government Primary School Uboro Isong Inyang, to distribute complete educational packs which comprised of School Bags, Literature Textbooks, Exercise Books, Pens, Pencils, Erasers and Sharpeners to over Two Hundred (200) pupils. This effort was aimed to further support the Arise Agenda of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno,PhD as Akwa Ibom Stae Governor to increase school enrolment in Udung Uko.

It is pertinent to state here that we will not hesitate to do more for our people, as we intend to roll out skills acquisition training to cover various fields of human endeavours. These and many more, we pray will offer ray of hope to the people of Oro in Akwa Ibom State.
On a final note, please permit me to present Fourteen (14) beneficiaries of our 4th Scholarship Award, who were painstakingly selected and tested from the poll of One Hundred and Eighty Five (185) applications.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees and our committed partners, I wish to congratulate you all and I pray that these little supports will spur you to academic greatness.

Thank you all.
